PhD 'funding' in Austria may be offered in the form of an employment contract, or fellowship. This defines the student as a staff member at their university - with a salary and other benefits. In return you'll be expected to assist with teaching, lab demonstrations and some administrative responsibilities, according to the terms of your contract.
The positions are full-time temporary employment, limited to a maximum of two years for postdocs and four years plus some teaching tasks for PhD students. An attractive monthly salary is paid. There are no tuition fees for PhD studies at Chalmers. English is the working language and candidates of any nationality are welcome to apply.
